Dine Out for Heroes; Bill Addison Reviews Zahav

CITY-WIDE — Daniel Boulud, Andrew Carmellini, Drew Nieporent, Eric Ripert and several other major restaurateurs will partner with the Bob Woodruff Foundation to launch the first Dine Out For Heroes on November 5. One dollar from each cover at the restaurants will be donated to BWF to help the organization address the challenges of long-term rehabilitation and care for injured veterans. WILLIAMSBURG — Brooklyn Winery is hosting an oyster party on August 20. Bluepoint oysters will be paired with the winery's Gewürztraminer, Riesling and Chardonnay. Tickets are $55. [EaterWire]

HUDSON VALLEY — A group of 10 chefs including April Bloomfield, Sean Brock, and Zakary Pelaccio will cook over fire pits and with smokers at Fish & Game's Farm on August 17. All of the proceeds will benefit FarmOn! Foundation. Tickets are $250.
