Our Mission

Inspiring, educating and preparing youth for successful careers in sustainable farming.

FarmOn! Foundation creates and funds youth educational programs that engage and inspire. Empire Farm and our events benefit those efforts to promote community, commerce, sustainability and succession in local agriculture and shift thinking to change the way we eat. By bringing awareness to food choices and sources and reinvigorating a respect for farming, we capture the interest of young people with a romantic notion of becoming the next generation of farmers to feed us. By embracing the idea of agricultural careers in many facets, we not only are a catalyst for viable livelihoods but we forge a stronger connection between rural and urban marketplaces. And by educating entrepreneurially oriented youth on how to create economically and environmentally sustainable farming operations that support succession across generations, we further engage local communities to participate in the production, distribution and consumption of locally produced food, to develop commerce as an economic engine and starting in the Hudson Valley, we change the future of farming in a replicable model for any agriculture community that rebuild rural communities into a stronger America.
